RPPB RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THE JUNIPERS



After thoughtful discussion and community testimony, the Rancho Penasquitos Community Planning Group voted to recommend approval of The Junipers in an 8-5 vote (plus 3 abstentions). Their recommendation came with the caveat that a second roundabout be re-added at the Cuca Drive and PQ Drive intersection. Currently, there is no consensus around this issue amongst board members and the community. The EIR for The Junipers includes a traffic signal at this location.


With this vote, The Junipers can progress to the City of San Diego Planning Commission!

The Junipers is on tonight's PQ Planning Board Agenda. In advance of the meeting, board members were provided with this timeline of the last 4+ years of community engagement.

JUNIPERS EIR FINALIZED



The EIR for The Junipers has been posted to the city's website. Now that this is complete, we're able to proceed to the full PQ Planning Board. Then, on to Planning Commission and City Council.
